Wop bop a loo bop a lop bom bom

"I got a gal, named Daisy, she almost drive me crazy/Got a gal, named Daisy, she almost drive me crazy...."

I have said it before but I am going to say it again. I am surrounded by some of the most talented pattern designers around. I had to opportunity to test a new pattern for Pink Snail Boutique. I was a little intimidated because although I consider myself a pretty advanced hooker, this pattern featured a stitch I had never worked with before. Once I learned it was easy peasy and produced a gorgeous hat.

I love this hat because it can be customized in any combination or colors making it perfect for anyone!

This is the Tutti Fruit Hat! Isn't she a beaut!

March is in like a lion and out like a jerk...

Is everyone as sick of winter as I am? The cold and snow can take a hike. I'll see you next Christmas white stuff!! The first day of Spring is always one of my favorite days. It reminds me that there is an end to the cold and that plants and flowers are ready to grow. Well this year was different. It SNOWED. Yes SNOW. More of that cold white crap. Two inches of it. Le sigh...where is my warmth?

I went searching for something to cheer me up. Warm enough for the cold windy days we are still having, but lightweight enough that it isn't too hot for the sunshine. I found the perfect pattern on it's debut day. Introducing the Carousel Beanie by Ashley Designs!

I love this hat! Not only is the pattern written wonderfully (duh! like I would expect anything else from Ashley Designs) but it worked up pretty fast. I found the perfect variegated yarn to get me in the spring mood, it reminds me a lot of Easter!

It can be customized to any color and is available in a variety of sizes. Check out my Etsy store for more details.

Hello World!

It has been years since I have blogged. It has been something that I have missed doing so I decided to give it another try. So to start off, let me introduce myself.
I am Leslie. Owner of Leslie's Craft Room. I specialize in homemade crafty items with an emphasis on crochet.
Me wearing the Chloe Cowl
I have two children named Haylee and Zak who keep me on my toes. As a kid, my grandma taught me how to crochet, but it wasn't until I had my daughter that I picked my hook back up. I saw all of these cute little hats that I wanted for her, but being a single income family didn't allow me the financial freedom to purchase them all. I decided to sit down and figure this crochet thing out again.

My other half, Jon, and I have been together for 10 years. He is my biggest fan and best critic, always pushing me to better myself and my work. He has seen me at my best and loved me through my worst. I don't know where I would be without him.
